As for your tired old erroneous assertion that climate change is a scam to increase taxes:
IFF an emission trading scheme was put in place, it would tax heavy polluters [
not a bad thing!] - but only if they do not reduce their emissions [always an option to avoid paying those terrible "taxes"].
The revenue generated from this "tax" - if you really want to call it that - can then be used to support heavy emission industries transition to cleaner energy
as well as reduce taxes - if you really really think we are paying too much tax and should not use some of these funds to support our ailing health system and national infrastructure - for the general population.
It is a zero sum game. All it means is that polluters get to pay for their own pollution, instead of having the taxpayer having to do so, which is what is happening at the moment [i.e. since the beginning of the industrial revolution].
This does matter to AJM investors, as without the
urgency to transition to renewable energy created by man-made climate change, there is no supply shortage of lithium. Countries and car makers are not setting dates for phasing out ICE vehicles due to an economic imperative to do so, but due to climate change.
I believe AJM and lithium are the future, first and foremost, because climate change action is now reaching critical mass and the more this plays out, the more the economies of scale and technological superiority of renewable energy and lithium storage will be able to give the final impetus to a rapid transition.
Without the recognition of the threat of climate change, it may well take several more decades and a far more pedestrian transition would occur - one where AJM investors would get paid far less for their fairly abundant commodity.
