Some US companies already made the move to Vietnam to avoid high tariff. May be Trump is helping to reduce concentration of Western companies in China. If you watched brexit news, many British companies already made their move to countries outside Britain to avoid brexit hassles. In fact many Chinese companies already set up their companies in countries around them to avoid Trump's tariff and to get more competitive edges upon their exports. I believed Trump knew that and ultimately he will pursue them. Like Iran is using companies in different countries to export their petrols without US detection. I see Trump's economic hardline as an adjustment force and in long-term it would fix the problem of intellectual, technology and cyber thefts to save Western companies. Especially those who do business in China were forced to hand in their intellectual right and technology to Chinese government, then the products were copied by Chinese companies which ultimately pushed Western companies out of business. This made Trump very angry. He promised his supporters in 2016 election that if he is a President he will fix China once and for all. He is a true man not a mask man like most conventional politicians who just care about diplomacy for return of votes
