Tianqi doesn't have much practical control of SQM's activities despite the size of their holding.
Tianqi's investment in SQM has also limited their financial ability to flood the market or grow organically.
Other Lithium industry participants have been much more aggressive recently either chasing or maintaining market share. Of the 4 biggest, SQM, Albemarle & Gangeng have had more impact in that 'flooding' aspect.
