You raise an excellent point but remember a claim for loss means the stock was sold in the year of question. Many no doubt have taken this step to claim a little relief. My net is early hey will all buy back their shares at the start of 2020...or like me move shares into a Roth IRA for tax protection. In all events early January is going to witness an increase in share costs as demand will skyrocket. Any shortest better cover now you're about to lose your shirts.
