In the long term sure... something else will supersede Lithium for mobile energy storage...
But in the short term...2-3 decades Lithium will be the flavor of choice, because there's not only economy of scale to consider, but the research and development that needs to be implemented...easy to build a battery from some amazing materials, but is it cost effective over a larger platform?
