Africadale, Tolga from SYR told us exactly what had happened. It was not the lithium at fault but the graphite.
Apparently the major graphite supplier from China didn't have enough for the order and ended up getting graphite from a number of sources. Because the graphite from each source has slightly different characteristics and a much greater range of impurities, it didn't work like getting all the graphite from the one source, so it created major problems that they didn't tell Samsung about.
Anyone else that went to the RUI event in Melbourne want to add anything to the above??
