Lol. I just re-read this and realised a glaring error. (typing on a phone screen without checking before going into a meeting)
It's out by a factor of 10. I meant to use an example of 24kwh, not 240kwh. At 240V a 24kwh battery pack (Nissan Leaf is about 30kwh I think?) would take 10 hours to recharge at 10amps provided there are no efficiency losses. 5 hours at 20 amps. To recharge in one hour is 100 amps and in 6 minutes = 500 amps (large industrial loads)
I guess, given large enough conductors and a supercapacitor storage bank in a recharging station that could recharge from a high voltage supply, a super capacitor in a car could be recharged in minutes. The conductors would need to be substantial as would the voltage. I wouldn't want to be in the vicinity if there was an electrical fault! Think Samsung Note7 batteries ten thousand fold
A way off yet I think. In chemical batteries I doubt it would ever be possible. Hours at best perhaps?
