There is a vast difference between what all the different prediction institutes are saying, and that of a simple car company.
VW expects to be selling 25% of it's fleet as EVs by 2025, so that to me is as good a guess for the total world fleet as anything. 25% of all new vehicles will be electric in 2025, and the rate of growth will increase from there.

We already know that several European countries will be banning the sale of new petrol and diesel cars by 2030, so for those countries 100% of all cars will be EVs by then.

These simple little facts seem to be beyond most of those making predictions of EV penetration. It will be massively faster than all these 'notable' forecasting agencies predictions.
The more lithium found in the world the better as it will all be needed, and much sooner than all the forecasters.

Take our 4Mt/a production as an early example. By 2025 we (as in the world) will need 10 more such producers, yet I can't see 10 more of that size, (or 20 of 1/2 the size) being produced.

2025 is only 8 years away, and the growth rate in the use of li-on batteries keeps expanding with the battery production the weakness at present, and likely to remain that way until past 2025 at least. There will be pressure on all the hard rock producers to produce more product, even when we have our plant up and running at 4mt/a. Even if that new potential Congo find were to produce a 10Mt/a plant, the world will need more.

With gigafactories in their infancy, and car yards in China sitting there with EVs without their batteries, because they can't get enough just yet, shows a growth of something that none of us have possibly ever experienced before.

PLS sits here not doing much as we are in that boring phase of getting the last bits of paper and building the plant. The ESR disaster of last week just shows how valuable what we have really is, and it is just a matter of time before the share price does go up. The returns when we are running at 4Mt/a are going to be staggering, but it is so hard for so many to see at this time. The same is true for our neighbour.
