Replace silicon with vanadium, graphene, flow et al.
None of this matters - lithium is the proven go to now and for the foreseeable future as these other technologies are just now exiting the lab, and are a long way from being mature, grid-scale production purchasable; even then some of them will end up being vaporware due to scalability issues.
