Lithium stocks skyrocketed in the past few years since they’re very popular and getting metal can be very difficult. Recently though, there has been a heavy reliance on boron to deplete lithium which is made available at bargain-basement prices. So I think it's possible that boron might take over similar to how silica took over after silicon became too expensive for semiconductors. Borates today can guide on this.
