Don´t read too much into the options pricing.....

I bought 3M options some weeks ago. There are good reasons to buy them (Discl: I hold both shares and options.)

Pro Options:
A: For the same amount of capital invested you get a lot more leverage.
B: No additional counter party risk. Normally options have an increased counter party risk, because usually they are created by third parties. Here they come from the company itself.
C: Long time horizon. Options are not due until 04 / 2020
D: If you assume that the share price goes north of 14 cents at any point from here to 04/2020 it is business to sell your shares now and invest the proceeds to buy options.
