Anyyyywho, let's hope these ICSiD emergency orders get across the line following today's hearing and that the DRC pay more attention to them than Cominiere or Zijin did to the ICC emergency injunctions. I wonder what the penalty would be in case of non-compliance? I have a feeling that given this is directed at the Government itself this may have greater effect than the ICC order did against Cominiere. Will we see the authorities tell Zijin to stop drilling the northern Tenement? Should these penalties be significant and the DRC's lawyers advise against angering our ICSID panel, I could see this as a potentially groundbreaking pressure point that could be the tipping point towards legitimate negotiations aimed at reaching an agreement. Let's hope!
