Elsewhere, Cygnus Gold had Canaccord Genuity drumming up interest in a $3 million share placement at 12.5¢ a share, a 22 per cent discount to the last close.Cygnus is exploring for nickel, copper, gold, platinum-group elements and lithium in WA’s Wheatbelt region, and has an exclusive option to acquire up to 70 per cent interest in Canadian lithium project Pontax from Stria Lithium, which is listed on the TSX Venture Exchange.Potential investors were told it would use the money for exploration at Pontax and WA projects, and to tip into Stria’s placement, which would give Cygnus about 7 per cent ownership of the Canadian company.Bids were due 4pm, Wednesday for Southern Hemisphere and 8am, Thursday for rest of the world.The company has a $14.7 million market capitalisation and a $2 million cash balance.
