I wouldnt buy around here in a pink fit today.Too expensive!!!
Got in this area back in 97 and seen 100% increase as many Sydney suburbs would have gone close to over that time period.
By rights there should be a lot more selling than there is.
Its simply a response to no supply for HOUSE AND LAND in this area.Families want to live relatively close to the city on more than 500M2 out in roof city(Sydneys west).
Not being judgemental here.
Just stating a fact that those with higher payment capacity will tend to live as close as they can to the city on the biggest property they can afford for family space.
In other words Sydneys problem of lack of larger house/land within 30 minutes of the city continues to get worse and will only get worse again on the back of no decent infrastructure to bring the working population into the city in a more efficient manner.
But there definitely seems to be a proportion of the population thats prepared to pay a more of a premium for these suburbs that would have once been considered peripheral to the more expensive north shore suburbs.These peripheral suburbs seem to be CATCHING those more expensive suburbs TO A DEGREE.
