PD, please accept my mea culpa. I'm sorry, but when it comes to matters of John Winston Howard, my naturally relaxed and comfortable manner seems to be replaced by a Hyde-type metamorphosis.
As you would be aware, I regard the Howard years as a period of deep shame for this country and I seem unable to forgive the man for what he has done to and how he has abused the national psyche.
Nevertheless, that is no excuse for bad manners and, as you say, the title of the thread is probably unacceptable. Please feel free to deal with the thread as you see fit.
As a matter of interest, I'm pretty disgusted with Rudd. He has failed to deliver on most Labor values. I can't say I'm disappointed as I expected little else from the man. Compared with Howard however, the devil himself would have obtained my vote had Rudd not been a candidate.
