    Well I'm hopeful Rudd will deliver, he seems a bit of an unknown still..

    If the economy performs well late in the coming term, labor will get the credit. I just hope if the economy performs poorly, people will recognise labor as having failed on some level, and not attribute it to economic policy of the former government (citing their policies had a lagged effect on economy).

    I've known many people who would conveniently shift the blame because they refuse to see what's in front of them. It's disappointing how labor have strongly put forward the idea they have inherited a mess, and now have to clean that up. Aside from healthcare and workplace reforms, I wasn't aware of any serious issues or 'mess', I'd prefer they detailed the problems than giving sweeping statements like this.. Though someone might care to enlighten me with specific examples, as I don't follow politics as closely as some. The resources boom helped the liberal government, but it's liable to continue well into the future, so labor will be on an equal footing..
