I don't understand atomos iseas on Asylum/immigration either. My reading of his posts suggests all refugees should be welcomed, and I certainly do not support that.
Refugees need to be kept seperate from society until their credentials can be established, so I support their internment for a reasonable length of time.
What I object to is the poor quality of the internment camps which are rather like gulags and the very long stays many people have there which seems to be because our immigration department is so incompetant that it takes them years to process anyone.
