Just rewatching the nuclear Dud's presser.


At around 4 mins in Littleproud says :

" That means that Australian tax payers don't need to keep subsidising it to keep it going ".

Seems he hasn't heard who is going to pay for the Dud's nukes.


At around 4mins 13 secs Littleproud says :

" A vision for regional Australia . One that isn't covered in solar panels, wind turbines and transmission lines ".

Renewables are still going to provide around 90% of the power under the Dud's plan. Not sure how he thinks that will work without solar panels , wind turbines and transmission lines .

At around 40.20. Littleproud says :

" By what we've announced today reduces the need for as much industrial scale renewable energy ".

90% of the power will come from renewables . l'd call that industrial scale.

41.40. " this will limit the amount of industrial scale renewables for us ".

43.00. " There will be a lot more gas ".

So much for cheap power .

56.00 " There's already water allocations at these coal fired power sites and obviously when they shut down they transfer to a new power plant ". " That's the design that Ted has undertaken ".

Clearly they haven't talked to AGL. AGL has publicly stated that the water allocation at Loy Yang will be used to fill the mine after the power station has shut down . This will go out to 2060. l suspect that the same will apply to any other coal fired power station that has an open pit mine .


lt seems little David is making stuff up . The deputy PM is making stuff up.
