Heard a David Littleproud interview and he is talking technological change and saying Australia Post banking is the answer
bit of a whimp out really
each of the big banks could keep branches open I reckon for $300 000 a branch...say 200 branches unprofitable will cost them about a measly $30m given they should be able to recoup half the cost of keeping them open with business gained and/or remote work done....the ceo wouldnt even notice
the very least we can do seeing that rural towns are struggling with 12% of payroll going to capital cities, internet shopping bypassing local businesses etc etc
