there were buyers who said they were prepared to pay up to 1.4 million...guess they were expecting a heated, hot auction... I just bet they will get the reserve or close to after auction.... the woman with the black hair was looking really peeved, and nasty...but kept bidding... personally I would not buy any of them...so surprised they bid the amounts they did.... I still think 600k's is tops for a renovated in that ugly little place... leave it to the gen y's,and xers, to rent , while they party, and wait for their careers and adulthood to take place...and especially, hopefully some good old common sense....to prevail
there is no pride in the suburb...graffiti all over the place... gentrification will never arrive.....seriously...
as in south yarra...they pretend they are living in Toorak, by living next door, in the dog boxes...
the pretend prestige only works, so long as your mates...do not actually go next door to Toorak...to see the stark reality of the differences... dog boxes in sth yarra... versus mansions in Toorak hey, but it sounds good...to those unaware
as for the nasty comment earlier this week... about my children...and druggies in Toorak.... you dont see the druggies hanging out in the main streets in Toorak, or the usual crap...one sees in Dandenong etc.... they are house proud in Toorak, take pride in their community, call the community services people if they see some down and out, or someone in trouble...they care about their fellow residents....
oh and most of us have a black sheep in the family, or someone affected by illness, drugs or alcohol etc...which makes them vulnerable....to predators, or snake oil salesman, or those with the wrong advice or intentions...
I am big on empathy....but do not suffer fools gladly... and there are more fools on this earth..than there are genuine empathisers..!
my children are unlikely to be caught out buying at the wrong price, or the wrong location.....they have sufficient experience and guidance instilled in their education, and first hand experience.... its called, involving the children, educating and guiding them, motivating them, steering them in the right direction... but all the time...using the highest of ethics, morals honesty and good will being ordinary, a moron, unintelligent, uneducated or bombastic...is easy.....no special skills required...
