Hi what?s worse financially now is that Indonesia no longer wants Australian Cattel effective last Monday.
We ( AUS ) supplied 60% of their total beef needs with the USA making up the 40% difference.
Now the USA and Argentina are making up Australians 60 % between them and Australia has lost this market.
There are currently 50,000 live head in the N.T. that were to be exported that now have to be slaughtered at a rate of 3,000 per day due to lack of feed !
These carcasses will be buried and are not for human consumption as there is no domestic market for them !
DID you know that Australia only consumes 10 % of its beef product ? We totally rely on exporting 90%.
Our Cattel prices will continue to fall radically over the coming Months , by way of example I sold ( 9 month old wieners ) 4 weeks ago and averaged $550 per head.
The same style of cattel and same age last Monday in the same Taree Sale Yard Market got $220 per head.
I will stop as I could go on and on and on???????????
