The link between cancer and autoimmune disease is being investigated. More so in the past few years as immunology is being better understood. Taking it right back to basics of inflammation being the route cause of all problems is being looked at as well. I like this, attacking a horrible disease from many different standpoints will hopefully find the cure.

Drugs like PTX100 have overcome this problem. So although the present trial is only on two types of Kras cancers, its application may be for many more (basket trial showed this). You are right when you say the particular biomarkers may influence dosing.

As PTX is a very small biotechnology company, best bang for the buck is to concentrate money and effort into a cancer that will hopefully allow fast track approval due to an unmet need. And this is what the company is doing. If/once approval is granted, it is a easier process to add other Kras cancers into approvals if similar Kras targets are present. So PTX100 market presence has potential to grow rapidly.
