The media has attributed the drop in IO price to the major 3 deliberately flooding the market with supply to increase their negotiation power and to kill off smaller producers. I am very puzzled by this - how can they gain if the price is pushed down, wouldn't they benefit more from keeping the I/O price high? If there is huge supply coming to the market, how can they possibly negotiate a higher price with China?
It is all very contradictory.
Can somebody please enlighten me,how this works?
