that would be Reverse Circulation Drilling (RC). Shallow (0-200m) RC holes = <1 day. It is destructive method (down hole hammer) that returns rock chips to the surface. Chips are logged for rock type, but no structural data is obtainable like core drilling. It's cheap and quick and gets them some data to work with.
