I do take it up with the moderators when it gets over the top, IE note a thread dissappeared yesterday after a few of us flared up.

I understand it makes you feel good, and that is important, i get the same when I get feedback, and you put in a lot of work, and as we both know, here on HC, the feedback from readers in many cases is a huge incentive to keep posting.

If it's not a concern to you regarding suggesting to the justifiably supportive posters that the XJO thread might be cleaner or an easier read if they popped the praise and thanks either within the current thread or on the forums/threads where you specifically expressed advice then fair enough, as you point out 'tis not your job or responsibility to do so.
