Delinquents account don't get another go, sure but imagine 4 people in a family...I think the payment limit is $1500. So that is a pretty darn significant ATM machine...Imagine your mum has $1500 limit, your dad $1500, you yourself $500 limit and your sibling has $500...you could technically default for easy $6000 or more stimulus/family. In a recession, credit history is the absolute least of your concern...Also I don't even think that defaulting on Afterpay affects your credit history with the banks themselves. So APT is basically effed...they either stop their operation or be forced to make gargantuan losses...
