One risk I’d like to see more coverage from management on how they’re mitigating it is scams. Unfortunately on my local Airtasker listings I’m seeing more scams pop into every day offers which was what has been an ongoing anchor to Gumtree or Craigslist in the US (different but infinitely horizontal opportunity like ART).
My own valuation to contrast the article is firmly at $0.42 without any new information that’ll arrive in next quarterly. (DYOR - ART not held)
I think this article relies too heavily on multiples from Nasdaq listed stocks which always have higher multiples than ASX. If Airtasker had plans to jump ship to Nasdaq once they hit revenue requirements I’d lift valuation on that alone.
The more realistic valuation growth outside of that beyond surprise financial performance is how the attractiveness of small cap market lifts overall when interest rates are cut - could see this having a medium term buoyant impact on ART particularly next 6 months where we might see our first two cuts.
