I don't think so mate... Turkey is at least 50 years behind Greece. Hence the E.U decision not to accept its application for membership. Turkey's application has not only been rejected because of its Islamic Religion, BUT more importantly it will cost E.U billions upon billions to bring its standard of living on par (or close enough) with the rest of Europe.... As for being friendlier (The Turks I mean) please go and see the movie......"The midnight express"..... It will give you a good insight into the Turkish psyche.....(and friendliness...)!!!
