On the subject of a balanced discussion re SMSF, I think it is well worthwhile benchmarking one's SMSF vis a vis one or 2 widely regarded public funds that allow you UP TO DATE (as opposed to last quarter/last 12 months etc)performance of accumulation or pension accounts.
I REGULARLY use Q Super as my benchmark....easy to use, you don't have to have an account with Q Super to use website.
There is no use having a SMSF if you cannot see that you are consistently doing better than a good public fund.
