What no financial planner will mention to you every 10 years there is "major event", such as 1987, 1999, 2008 and 201??? that event will wipe out most of the gains.If you combine it with their fees and inflation you are going nowhere.
I have 2 funds, one where I am using all my resources and paying high fees, and second where I have 0 expenditure and 0 administration ,( no contributions) just past 12 years 100000$ rolled over and compounded into deposit account, ATM there is nearly 200000$.
In 8 years in 6 % rate there will be 320,000$ without any planner assistance ,and cost just simple compounding.
