    No worries trendee. Yes, it is the lazy option and as I think I mentioned in an earlier post(s?), an Industry Fund (posibly Q) will not make it easy or transparent to know the exact fees or returns, as they will do some unit price 'adjustments' to reserves and other minor things that fiddle with the exact returns. I'd be interested if the increase in your balances approximate the return declared. Not easy to do, but as I said, interesting.

    A SMSF isn't that hard if you don't do anything too fancy or silly. Just need to have the knowledge to know what you can do and what you should perhaps pay others for.

    PS might pay to ignore stuff lu says, just seems to vent some chips on his/her shoulders over, and over, and over, and over...I think you get the picture. All comment, no real help. You can get a bit of that here, I'm afraid ;}
