The Stanford paper is mostly about their MIRO and how excellent it is in finding PD-related calcium overload. But there is a chapter for iron chelation:"Iron functions upstream of calcium to mediate phenotypes of PD neurons".
So for ATH434, this is enough, at least if we trust Stanford's results. Unfortunately, we need to wait to get the open study results, perhaps within a week or maybe until next summer, and, at the latest until November to get the randomized study results.
What will be the news after the primate study results??? Some more cooperation with M Fox Foundation???
