Lots of good stuff in this interview….including a hint around how the project parameters at Kachi may just be upsized depending on who the final strategic partner (or partners) are! The strategic partnerships will have a big say in where the final offtakes go and how large they are. If we land a strategic partner/s with lots of cash to put behind the Kachi project, we may see the large resource size not only converted to a larger project (say going back to 50kT+) but also at an accelerated rate. The upside here is huge with the right strategic partner by our side!

David also highlights that the design parameters are currently conservatively based around the 205mg/L and that the higher concentrations found in more recent drilling (upwards of 250mg/L and 300mg/L) mean that they could go two ways - produce more Lithium Carbonate with the current plant design or stick with the current 25kTpa Phase 1 and reduce CAPEX (and OPEX with less pumping volumes involved). Those decisions will be made once the Strategic Partner (or Partners) are locked in. Remember, we are only using 12% of M&I resource for the current plan….so let’s see where it ends up if we land a major partner or two.

You have to ask yourself, with the expected deficits forecast for 2027 and beyond, what will some of the major players pay to lock in security of supply of 25-50kT of high purity, battery grade product? THAT has nothing to do with Lake’s market cap! Those “others” will get it at some point…..when it becomes blatantly obvious and the share price has already moved accordingly.

Yeh lots of good stuff, like it doesn’t look like LKE has many activities in 2024 that will be newsworthy and what they do have will be boring. Not great news for @Suw. What news flow events can he use to progressively pump the price for 2024?
