I am an optimist I see plenty of options for LKE one is to reduce the size of the project. There are several other DLE projects that are content to build a 5 ktpa facility one of which says it will need no grid connection. GLN are leading the way in export of lithium chloride. Across the border in Chile they have carbonation facilities already in production. I assume it's cheaper to expand an existing facility than it is to build one a new. Whatever the future holds for LKE the decisive factor will be the price of lithium, a secondary factor will be the tendency to build critical mineral processing facilities anywhere but China.
