That really does sound like a logical possibility. It goes along with most of the naysayers here too. And it certainly went along with what caused the shorters to take over the market so dominantly from March 2022 and continues to this day.
But, sadnigel, we can now fully understand why the shorters came, clearly, obviously, "logically". It was manna from heaven with several direct contributors to the CAUSE. THERE for all to see.

But, what would be the clear, obvious, logical' reasons for the DFS to cause shorters to push down the share price?

Unless, of course if it's as stupid as what caused them to come in in the first place. Entry into the ASX300 and then the ASX 200 then Managers and Directors dumping millions. Doubt about DLE. All gone.

And why they are still in is really nothing to do with Lake at all, the shorters can't close, the brokers can't sell, there is no liquidity. THEY have to create that liquidity amongst themselves, the retail market won't. You can see them busting to do it now, one of them will bleed.
They grossly overestimated liquidity when they greedily took up 11% and can't get out and it has destroyed LKE's market for over 20 whole months.

We will be getting a JORC soon, the more DD presents, the more credible he becomes (to the market not to HC trash). The market will come back in, shorts are dropping and will be out as soon as one side blinks, the brokers will most certainly have second thoughts of doing what they did in 2022. Imagine, multi billion dollar brokers trading pips with $7 million on the table!!!
