With China getting pushed into a corner, I wouldn't be surprised if they take an even more aggressive stance on acquiring major commodities in an effort to force the US to buy products from them even with the tariffs. Ultimately the US is only hurting its populace by having them pay more for goods they rely on. If China owns all the mines, lithium or otherwise, the rest of the world will have no choice.
