Many possibilities, but, doing a forensic examination of the share registry should be on management's agenda. I wouldn't think that what is happening would be too overt, multiple "identities" most likely.
But, all this is really ST stuff while there is no news, nothing definitively long term and a generally poor sentiment for Li.

"Somebody" (could be plural) is keeping it there, but watch it WHEN there is something substantive announced.
FUNDING is the magic word at the moment and I'm not talking extortionate borrowing.
Yesterday's "market" was practically all algorithmically executed and today's heading in the same direction. No buying competition playing right into "their" hands.
