Here's a good summary of the US EV credit rules.
The key point is that the critical minerals (including lithium) must be extracted or processed in a country with US FTA. The key expression is "OR PROCESSED".
LKE will produce lithium carbonate and / or lithium hydroxide which will further need to be processed to get into lithium ion batteries.
