I think that the most obvious reason for LKE choosing Lilac DLE technology was that it's a technology well suited for arid areas with less access to fresh water, they have stressed this many times during their presentations.

Some other reasons since the early days of LKE - Lilac cooperation could be:

• Lilac is well funded, and backed by some investor giants like Bill Gates and Jeff Bezos, amongst mamy others.
• Lilac technology was selected by the Bolivian government as the only Western world DLE technology.
• Lilac technology was awarded by US government a US$50 million award.

There could be other reasons as well, these are just the ones that I could think of as some top reasons / justifications.
