Melen100. I'm putting a lot of reliance in my "guess" about production fom Kachi being "faster tracked" from this statement on 21 November 2022.
"Lilac Solutions CEO David Snydacker commented, “Lilac and Lake are working together closely to set a new
standard for pace of project development in the lithium industry. Progressing the on-site plant from
completion of construction to shipping of on-spec bulk samples of lithium chloride in just two months is
significantly faster than conventional projects move, where commissioning of evaporation ponds typically
takes many years. We expect to continue to improve upon the traditional project development timeline as we
advance toward commercial production, ultimately bringing the Kachi project on-line years ahead of
competing projects. This will put the Kachi project in an excellent position to supply the lithium raw material
urgently needed by automakers and capture the high prices we see in the market due to the failure of
conventional approaches.”
I take all of those in bold to each be sending us a clear message that Kachi will be used as a benchmark for the whole industry, especially, the DLE process, which will also place added pressure by governments on the traditional methods that will put at great risk current projects, and, certainly, any prospect of extensions to those projects.
"to capture the high prices" when some predict that those "high prices" will still be at those levels for just the next 2 years". IMO, the 25Ktpa will be the absolute number one aim from both companies, just waiting to be ticked off by the independent assessments.
However, I, and probably like very many others, believe that the market is screaming out to see a report from both Lake and Lilac to follow up on the last announcement on 21 November 2022,, with the SP having dropped by no less than 24% since it's release.
P.S. I'm not complaining, having made a modest increase in my holding from the lower prices, but, that is most certainly a selfish position to take as many thousands would have suffered from that loss. Come on Stu, DD and DS.
