A little look at who’s invested in Lilac Solutions. I think there was an earlier start up investment too in 2017. Lake started talking to Lilac in 2018.
Chris Sacca was the lead investor on the 2nd round of seed investing which raised US$150m
They weren’t just investing in Lilac but in Lake too indirectly. Without Kachi, Lilac couldn’t progress and succeed. I’m in no doubt as to the importance of Lake’s flagship Lithium project and the advantages Lilac’s disruptive technology will have but also aware of the disruption it will bring and why many don’t want Lake/Lilac partnership to succeed.
The next round of funding with Lilac will be very interesting to see who joins in. More govt money?
O&G money looking from the sidelines? At some point other big players will want a slice of the revenues on offer on the lithium wave.
