You are right, Tesla is already looking at tracking that CO2 footprint in its cars, we have energy consumption on our fridges, the EV buyers may want CO2 "stickers" on their EV's and that is a selling point.

That's also why recycling in the 2030's will be huge, mandated in the EU already. The recyclers are pushing this narrative already.

We are just at the beginning of this. CAPEX is very high for DLE, but if the carbon footprint is lower, then we will see what happens in the mining sectors over the next few years wrt CO2 emissions.
