If you're a long term holder, you really just need to set yourself some investment goals, have a high conviction in your well reaearched investments and spread your risk a little. I have 8 stocks that I know well and I'm happy with them. I used to have 30 or 40 which I had a much more superficial knowledge of - I do much better these days. Set your buy and sell targets and stick to them, revisit them and adjust them based on market conditions, but don't read every single post in every single forum and think you're better informed. There's so much noise here it's not funny. You won't buy at the bottom and you won't sell at the top but you'll sleep easy at night and you'll most likely do very well for yourself.
