If you want to see on the ground desireabilty of EV's wrt LKE, check out Ford USA's new F150 lightening EV. Only $41.5K USD and it's a beast and highly functional. Any US tradie with a pickup that doesn't have to drive more than 150 to 200 miles a day will want one. Most of us admire Tesla, glad they're successful, but don't actually want to own one. BTW, I tear around the suburbs in my Outlander PHEV and it's fantastic. And not just the $0.02/km it costs me.
