    Steve explains the bead stripping process. The ion exchange beads with lithium atoms bonded to them are washed with HCL.

    Li (Ion Exchange beads) + HCl -> LiCl + H20

    The bi product is water (H20) this will be recycled and clearly shown in the patent diagrams another poster has kindly posted in the past.
