My god I will repeat it again. They have index funds, and are custodial for many other index based funds. On index inclusion they had to buy that is the only reason they became substantial shareholder. Yes they lend out stock short, it's in the announcement, they are authorised to lend out ~40m of the 76m; 30m of which they lent out from the 17th (index inclusion).
