@Tassy3, short answer is I don't know. If LILAC doesn't work, I don't think we could go for traditional evaporation ponds (due to grade issues) but another DLE. Having said that, I would like to think LKE/LILAC would work but we may have some initial teething issues that requires a few tweaks.
If LKE or LILAC did not believe Kachi demo plant would work, the following wouldn't have taken place IMO
- 150 to 300 people working on site
- LILAC team travelling to site
- LILAC agreeing to "Earn in" to Kachi project
- FORD & HANWA signing non binding offtakes
- Citi/JP Morgan agreeing to look at funding
- HATCH progressing with DFS & ESIA
- Major investors backing LILAC
- Bolivian government short listing LILAC
- A couple of other companies using LILAC technology for lithium
All looking good for me , personally.
