I believe the government of the day appoints judges, whether by a labour, or liberal government. The fact that VIC has predominantly been labor means alot of the judges appointed by labor. The judges would do well simply to apply the law of the land correctly. The people of Victoria have in the majority elected a labor government and so fracking ban will be extended. I do think that the position on conventional mining might be change. Will have to wait and see next year.
