Start with an offer that is barely reasonable and see if the instos and others are happy to exit without a fight. The register is widely spread and appears to lack the "normal" representation by Aussie fund managers, so the fight lacks a major shareholder standing up and saying not enough. But, they still need 75%, so it wont be easy for them.
However, I still think the best we can do as smaller shareholders is make ourselves heard by directly emailing the company, and most importantly voting against the re-election of the directors. This gives them a clear message that we are not happy, and may make them nervous about getting 75%.
Vote now if you want a better deal...and email to tell them you are not happy with the offer and have voted against their re-election.
