I've never warmed to him. Imo he displayed too much aggression and arrogance at a young age. Someone should have grabbed him and shoved a dose of humility down his throat.

Perhaps that is why he never scaled the heights that were predicted.

But don't tell me the hairs on the back of your neck don't stand up when he plies his trade for his country. Always gives 100+% and it rubs off on his team-mates. Not personal glory, but for his country - to please us.
